ABOUT WORKING ANIMAL CONSULTING SERVICES

Working Animal Consulting Services was founded by Mundy McLaughlin in 2005 to provide neutral and objective expert services focused on enhancing working relationships and contributing to more inclusive workplaces. Mundy collaborates and partners with others where appropriate to deliver comprehensive services related to equity, human rights, labour relations and workplace fairness.

The name "Working Animal Consulting Services" emerged from Mundy's fascination with the intersection between animal and human behaviours. We are animals and we have to work together! But we may be uniquely capable of transforming and adapting our beliefs and behaviours based on self awareness and knowledge about ourselves and other animal species. Also, stories about animals have a particular, non-threatening persuasive capability to help us see ourselves in a new light.

The logo interplays the "gears" of the workplace with a universal symbol of caring and empathy - the heart. Of course all animals have hearts - and caring and empathy is an essential capacity for overcoming intolerance and misunderstanding of those different from ourselves.
