Mundy McLaughlin offers expertise in human rights,
diversity, workplace accommodation, Ombuds services, employment equity
and labour relations. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1992 and
has been a sole practitioner and consultant since 2005, specializing
in workplace human rights and equity issues. Prior to founding her
own practice, she held corporate, union and government positions,
and was Director of Diversity and Ombuds with Ontario Power Generation
(OPG) from 2000 to 2005. She holds degrees in Common and Civil law

At OPG, Mundy developed and oversaw a comprehensive Diversity program
that included a human rights and anti-harassment policy incorporating
non-human rights based harassment; accommodation of disability, religion
and pregnancy; and workplace violence. She steered OPG through an Employment
Equity Audit by the Canadian Human Rights Commission, conducting workplace
consultations and creating an Employment Equity Plan. She developed
and delivered diversity training sessions for employees and managers
in a wide variety of work locations and environments. All of these initiatives
were developed in partnership with OPG's two unions. Her role involved
investigating, mediating and intervening in workplace issues.
Mundy worked for the Society of Energy Professionals from 1994 to 2000
with involvement in negotiations and grievances on collective agreement
matters and in joint committees related to Diversity and the development
of a disability management procedure. She served as a Policy Advisor
for the Ministry of Labour of Ontario from 1992 to 1994.
Mundy is a frequent public speaker on workplace topics, sits on the
