More and more, people are turning to coaches to help them move forward
in their lives. Mundy has over 10 years experience in coaching employees
and managers– whether as a union representative, or through
the Ombuds role she performed at Ontario Power Generation. Since establishing
her own practice, she has completed a certificate program in Solution-focused
counseling with the Faculty of Social Work of the University of Toronto
as well as a coaching workshop with the Executive Education Centre
of the Schulich School of Business. She has also qualified as a Hypnotherapist
and is certified with the National Guild of Hypnotists.
Mundy’s interest in coaching is the value it brings to assist
clients to move forward in life personally and professionally.
The process holds great potential to assist people to overcome interior
and exterior obstacles to their growth, development, self-realization,
health and welfare.
Coaching may also mean assisting employees and managers involved
in workplace human rights and harassment issues to become more aware
of their own behaviours and the impact that these behaviours have
on others in the workplace.
Whatever the context, Mundy’s approach is to guide the client
through a process where they realize their own path forward. Tools
are engaged as appropriate to assist the client to determine their
own solutions and goals and the options for achieving and measuring
them. The coach is neither a “cheerleader” nor a “guide”,
but a facilitator.
Hypnotherapy is a client-driven process to facilitate life changes, and as such can complement the work done in coaching sessions. Hypnosis can help clients to change habits, lose fears and phobias, and obtain better approaches to their health and relationships with others. It works through suggestions made to the subconscious. These suggestions are client-driven and jointly developed by the therapist and the client. Services are entirely confidential and governed by ethical standards of the National Guild of Hypnotists.
